This picture was taken by Eric Lafforgue. By taking the picture in black in white it helps accentuate the lighter and darker shadows of the subject. The texture of the subjects hair and accessories were very well captured, most likely by the help of natural light. This is a very natural picture and the subjects emotion is show very well because her face is the main focus of the photograph. This shot is symmetrically balanced and has selective focus on the woman leaving the background blurry.
This photograph was taken by Thomas Kettner. He tends to do most of his pictures in colour which he can use to his advantage by bringing out natural highlights and lowlights. He has taken this photo from the side of his subject and the light is placed infront of her creating nice shadows and dimensions. He captured just enough of her face to show her feeling of thought and wonder. He placed the main focus of the photograph higher up and filling the rest with the subject's body and clothing. This draws your first attention to her face then causes you to look around.
This photo was taken by Lee Jeffries. He is a very successful photographer especially when it comes to portraits. You can see he positioned the light to hit the one side of his subject's face so the other side fades into the darkness of the background. the focus of the picture is right in the center of the mans face. he has set this photo in black and white which helps bring out the textures of the subject. Lee captured the emotion of the subject perfectly with selective focus and the close up shot.
